Position Summary:

Supreme Scapes is currently searching for an experienced Landscape/Hardscape Crew Leader for its location in Newtown, Ohio. The ideal candidate must have at least 1 yr experience in landscaping and/or hardscaping. We are searching for someone who has strong leadership qualities and a strong sense of safety for themselves, their crew and those around them.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00 to $25.00 /hour
*Pay will be based on the relevant, landscaping-related experience of the selected candidates.

The hours for our positions are generally 8am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. Saturdays may be required depending upon business need but are most common between March-June.

Responsibilities

  • Lawn mowing

  • Installing landscapes and hardscapes, paver patios, etc.

  • Detailed hand pruning

  • Identification and control of weeds, disease and pests common to the area.

  • Planting, mulching, weeding and overall care for the planting beds, pots and planters

  • Training new crew members on best practices

  • Operating safely and efficiently with all materials and equipment

  • Presenting and maintaining a professional image for the company

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • At least one year of relevant experience

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment

  • Knowledge of local plants is preferred

  • For hardscape position- Some knowledge of proper use of equipment (dingo, mini-excavator, chain saw, laser level, etc) is preferred

  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions

  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
