Position Summary:

Supreme Scapes is currently searching for an experienced Landscape Installation Crew Leader for its location in Oakley, Ohio. The ideal candidate must have at least 3+ yrs. experience as a Crew Leader/ Foreman. We are searching for someone who has strong leadership qualities and a strong sense of safety for themselves, their crew and those around them.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 to $19.00 per hour, depending on experience, with quarterly bonus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervise the crew providing services to our commercial and residential customers

  • All phases of the management of truck operations under their control

  • Inform Supreme Scapes Manager of all developments in operations, training & planning

  • Utilize job scheduling application for work orders

  • Schedule workload for crew members prior to the work day

  • Prepare and secure all materials, tools and equipment for the next day

  • Assign tasks to crew members & ensure work is completed properly

  • Ensure that all crew members are punctual & follow company rules & procedures

  • Train crew members to do job effectively & efficiently

  • Maintain and promote safe working conditions in the field at all times

  • Conduct & document safety tailgate meetings weekly with the crew

  • Maintain clean, neat & professional image of service vehicle & trailer

  • Ensure crew members maintain professional image

  • Ensure all assigned equipment, tools, safety items, vehicles & trailers or other items are maintained in proper working order

  • Able to maintain all jobs to bid specifications

  • Ability to organize & implement work schedule

  • Responsible for utilizing forms & procedures

  • Mandatory attendance to all company outings

This is a field position that requires management, development and training abilities for landscape installations. This includes building strong relationships with clients and possessing positive interpersonal skills. Coordinate daily field operations through dealings with crews and clients. Ability to train and develop crews through education and safety. Aid in monitoring job quality standards. Proficiency required in verbal and writing skills for completion of paperwork and problem solving.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • Three years of management experience

  • Three years of landscaping experience

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment

  • Ownership of a smartphone is preferred for using company applications

  • Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work

  • Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in heavy/highway construction work

  • Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions

  • Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule

  • Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions

  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing

  • Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely

  • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions

  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
